A calm presence for horses, riders, and coaches away from home.
Show, clinic, and event wellness support for horses navigating the emotions, fears, and big feelings that can arise when they leave the safety of their home barn.
Available for horse shows, clinics, schoolings, and barn events in the region. Booking ahead helps us plan the right presence for your day.

Horses feel deeply. Away from home, those feelings can become louder.
With the growing attention on horse mental wellness and emotional wellbeing, many caregivers are noticing how much their horses carry. The fears. The big no mannerisms. The tension that shows up in a new place, surrounded by unfamiliar energy, far from the friends and routines that help them feel safe.
I attend shows, events, and schoolings to help horses feel confident, understood, and assured of themselves. My role is not to train, discipline, or fix behaviour. It is to bring a peaceful presence, a sense of safety, and a quiet space where horses and their people can settle, breathe, and reconnect.

Attunement and connection are at the core of everything I offer.
Years of practice have taught me to read the quiet language of the body. The subtle shifts in breath, posture, and energy that reveal what a horse is carrying. This somatic awareness, paired with an intuitive responsiveness, allows me to meet each horse where they are.
At shows, clinics, and schoolings, my first commitment is to listen before I respond. I watch, I sense, and I wait for the horse to show me what they need. When I do respond, it is with loving care, steady presence, and a deep respect for the relationship between horse and human.
My intention is never to override, fix, or perform. It is to create a space where the horse feels understood, where their person feels supported, and where connection can gently return.
Support that meets the moment.
A grounded presence for the horse
Quiet, respectful support near the stall, warm up ring, or trailer. The goal is to help the horse feel safer in their body and more at ease in the environment.
Insight into what the horse may be communicating
Observing body language, energy, and responses can offer perspective on what a horse might be trying to express through fear, hesitation, or heightened behaviour.
Animal Reiki and energy based wellness
Gentle Reiki and energy support offered with the horse's consent and comfort as the guide. The horse chooses how close, how long, and whether to receive.
Rider and coach grounding
Long, emotional days affect everyone. I offer calm, reflective support for riders and coaches so they can return to their horses with a steadier presence.
Aura images and energetic observation
Optional aura images can offer a visual reflection of the energy around a horse, rider, or partnership during the event.
Extra support for the riders you're connected with.
Coaching through a long show day means holding space for nerves, disappointment, excitement, pressure, and fatigue, sometimes all at once. Having someone nearby who can offer a calm, grounded presence for both horse and rider gives your athletes an additional layer of support without pulling you away from your teaching.
This service is ideal for coaches who want perspective, insights, reassurance, and a quiet wellness resource available during high emotional days.
Wellness Services are separate from Somatic Tones Clinical Services. They are not presented as social service work, psychotherapy, medical care, veterinary care, diagnosis, treatment, or services eligible for Social Work or Psychotherapy benefit reimbursement.
Event wellness support is not training, veterinary care, veterinary diagnosis, veterinary treatment, emergency care, or a replacement for qualified professional advice. For urgent physical or behavioural concerns, consult a veterinarian or appropriate qualified professional.
This offering is not psychotherapy, social service work, or clinical care. It is a wellness and relationship based service provided within the Walking Realms pathway.
What is event wellness support?
Event wellness support brings the calm of Walking Realms to show days, clinics, and schooling outings across Oxford County, Elgin County, and Southwestern Ontario.
Show grounds are loud, unfamiliar places. Trailers arrive, warm up rings fill, schedules slip, and everyone from the lead rider to the youngest student is carrying a little more tension than usual. Animals read all of it.
This offering is a quiet presence in the middle of that. Animal Reiki offered stallside or ringside, grounding support for riders and coaches between classes, aura images when there is a pause, and simple attention to the mood of a barn aisle over the course of a day.
It is wellness and relational support, not coaching, not training, and not veterinary care. It changes nothing about how you ride or how your team runs the day.
Where support tends to be welcomed
- Stallside or at the trailer before a class
- Ringside grounding for a rider between rounds
- Quiet time with a horse at the end of a long day
- Support for coaches holding a whole team's nerves
- Multi day clinics and schooling shows
How a day of support unfolds.
Event days are unpredictable, so support flexes around your schedule rather than the other way around.
- Step 01
Before the day
We talk in advance about your schedule, how many horses and riders are attending, and what would genuinely help. Some barns want a full day presence, others want an hour at a key moment.
- Step 02
Arriving on grounds
I arrive quietly, find your stalls or trailer, and stay out of the working flow. Nothing begins until it suits the horses and the people around them.
- Step 03
The environment
Work happens where you already are. Stall, trailer, grass strip, quiet corner behind the barn. There is no setup to move and no space to reserve.
- Step 04
Between the classes
Animal Reiki is offered when a horse has a gap. Riders and coaches may ask for a few minutes of grounding, a breath, or simply a person who is not asking them for anything.
- Step 05
What people notice
Horses often soften, drop the head, or start eating again. Riders frequently say their shoulders come down and the noise of the day recedes. Some feel very little at the time, and that is fine too.
- Step 06
Closing the day
Before I leave we talk briefly about what was noticed and anything worth carrying home. Nothing is written up unless you ask.
No performance result, placing, or outcome is promised. This is presence and wellness support, nothing more and nothing less.
Who books support for an event?
Requests usually come from the people holding the day together.
- A coach wanting steadier ground under a whole team
- A lead rider hoping to stay connected rather than braced
- A barn owner travelling with several horses and riders
- A young rider at their first away show who needs quiet company
- A caregiver with a sensitive horse who finds venues hard
- A clinic organiser wanting a calm presence available to attendees
- Someone curious about Animal Reiki in a real working setting
- A team that has had a difficult season and wants a gentler day
This service does not address medical, behavioural, or performance concerns. Those belong with your veterinarian, coach, or trainer.
Unobtrusive, respectful, and led by you.
A show day belongs to your team. Support fits into it quietly.
Never in the way
I work around warm up times, tack changes, and ring calls. If the moment is wrong, we simply wait for a better one.
The horse decides
No horse is held or asked to stand still for a session. Attention is offered and can be declined at any point.
Your call throughout
You choose which horses and riders receive support, when, and for how long. Plans can change on the day without any fuss.
Quiet by default
Sessions happen without announcement or attention. There is no display and no interruption to your routine.
Individual to your barn
A one horse day and a ten horse team day look completely different. The shape is built with you beforehand.
Discretion
Nothing about your team, your horses, or your day is shared without your permission.
Questions coaches and riders ask.
If your question is not here, you are welcome to call or send a message before you book.
No. Support can be arranged for a single class, a few hours, or a full day. Multi day clinics can also be covered. We agree on the shape when you book.
Nothing changes about your usual show routine. Wear what you would normally wear and keep your schedule as it is. Support fits around what you are already doing.
None at all. Many teams meet this work for the first time at an event. Everything is explained simply and you are free to watch before deciding whether you want it for your own horse.
Usually a few quiet minutes of grounding and breath, standing or sitting, with no expectation to talk. Some riders feel their shoulders drop and the noise fade. Others notice little in the moment.
Yes. Aura images and herd insight often pair well with an event day, and home visits can be arranged before or after a competition stretch.
No. It is a wellness offering with no religious affiliation. Everyone on your team is welcome regardless of belief.
No claims are made about performance, placings, or results. This is wellness and relational support offered for comfort and connection only.
If your show days feel rushed, tense, or harder than they should be, a conversation is a good starting point. Send your upcoming dates and we can talk about whether this is a good fit.
How event support sits within Somatic Tones Wellness.
Event wellness support is part of Walking Realms, the animal centred side of Somatic Tones Wellness. The same Animal Reiki, herd insight, and relational attention are available at home as well, in your own barn or paddock.
Somatic Wellness is the companion offering for people, with Reiki, sound healing, guided relaxation, and spiritual reflection at the Tillsonburg office. Riders and coaches sometimes book a session there after a heavy competition stretch.
You may choose one service or combine several across a season. Wellness Services remain separate from Somatic Tones Clinical Services.
Bring calm to your next show or clinic.
Send the dates you have coming up and a sense of how many horses and riders will be there. If you are unsure whether event support or another Walking Realms offering suits your team, call and we can talk it through.
Let us know about your upcoming event.
Share the date, location, and what you are hoping to support. We will respond to discuss availability, travel, and how best to serve your horse, rider, or team.
