How we work

Care rooted in relationship.

Six values shape the way each Somatic Tones pathway is offered, across both Clinical Services and Wellness Services. Below, each value includes what it means in practice and how it can support you, your child, your family, or your partnership with an animal.

Value 01

Relationship Before Technique

Meaningful change begins in relationship. Trust, attunement, authenticity, and connection come before quick solutions.

How this helps you: you will never be treated as a diagnosis or a problem to fix. We take time to build genuine trust first, so any approach we use together rests on a foundation where you feel safe enough for real change to happen.

Value 02

Safety, Choice, and Consent

People deserve to feel respected, informed, and in control of their participation.

How this helps you: you set the pace. Nothing happens in a session without your understanding and agreement, and you can pause, redirect, or stop at any time. This is especially important for anyone whose past experiences took choice away.

Value 03

Curiosity Over Judgment

Rather than asking what is wrong, we ask what has happened, what is needed, and what may be communicated through behaviour or distress.

How this helps you: behaviour that looks difficult on the surface often carries an important message. When we get curious together instead of judging, children feel understood, parents feel less blamed, and the real needs underneath can finally be met.

Value 04

Attunement to the Body and Nervous System

The body holds important information. We make room to notice sensation, emotion, patterns, energy, and nervous system responses without judgment.

How this helps you: talking is not the only way to heal. By gently noticing what your body and nervous system are communicating, we can work with stress and overwhelm at the level where it actually lives, not just where it is described.

Value 05

Animals as Sentient Partners

Horses and animals are never tools or props. Their needs, preferences, boundaries, and wellbeing matter.

How this helps you: when animals are respected as partners, they offer honest, moment to moment feedback that no technique can replicate. Their responses help you see your own patterns with compassion and practice new ways of relating in real time.

Value 06

Integrity and Clear Scope

Every program is clearly described so people can make informed choices about the type of support that fits their needs.

How this helps you: you will always know which pathway you are in, what it involves, and what it is not. Clinical Services are provided by Natalie Daniel, CYW, RSSW, Psychotherapist, while Wellness Services offer spiritual and energetic exploration. Clear boundaries mean you can choose with confidence.
